FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – A shootout killed 14 members of the Armed Separatist Group Organization of Free Papua (OPM) in Soanggama Village, Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency.

This tense atmosphere occurred last Wednesday (10/15/2025). Liberation Operation: Habema Kogabwilhan III operational command to free the hostages resulted in the expulsion of OPM Kodap VIII/Soanggama.

Until now, this organization was controlled by them. The TNI revealed that the deceased OPM members played a crucial role in the organization.

Just mention the name of Agus Kogoya, the post of Chief of Operations Staff of Kodap VIII/Soanggama.

Several other names include Ipe Kogoya, Zakaria Kogoya, who was the perpetrator of the shooting of TNI members in Lower Mamba and Gamagai.

There are also Uripinus Wandagau, Sepi Kobogau, Kaus Lawiya, Napinus Kogoya, Roni Lawiya, ⁠Poli Kogoya, Aofa Kobogau, Pisen Kogoya, Meki Murib and two others who are still being identified.

In his written statement, Commander of Habema Operations Command, TNI Major General Lucky Avianto, said he would continue to take action against the OPM armed group that threatened residents.

“The TNI will continue to take measures against the OPM armed group which threatens public security,” he said, quoted on Friday (10/17/2025).

In addition to paralyzing the separatist members, the TNI troops obtained evidence in the form of a firearm, ammunition of different calibers, four air rifles, sights, Newcon binoculars, Morning Star attributes, communications equipment, field equipment and organizational documents from the OPM.
