The Iranian military says its naval forces fired warning shots at a number of US warships operating in the Arabian Sea. Tehran said the warning shots forced Washington’s warships to withdraw from the area.
Iran’s military public relations office said in a statement, as reported Anadolu AgencySaturday (6/6/2026), said that warning shots were fired using missiles and drones towards a number of US military destroyers in the Arabian Sea on Friday (5/6) local time.
The move, according to the Iranian military, is part of ongoing operations carried out in response to what it describes as harassment at sea by the United States, as well as the seizure of Iranian tankers and tankers.
According to the Iranian military, its naval forces fired warning shots using a number of Qadir missiles and several Shahed Danesh-type combat drones at the US destroyers DDG-103 and DDG-87 – referring to the hull codes of the US warships USS Truxtun and USS Mason.
The Iranian military also claimed that the US warships then left the Arabian Sea and headed towards the Indian Ocean.
Iran has consistently accused the US Navy of disrupting trade and maritime security in the region.
Tehran’s military said the Washington military destroyers targeted in the attack served as command and control centers for what Iran described as hostile U.S. activity against Iranian commercial shipping.
The command center overseeing Iranian naval operations has called on the United States to end what it calls maritime theft and hostile actions in regional waters.
Although U.S. military ships moved away from the range of the missiles used in the warning operation, the Iranian military warned that Tehran’s forces could use long-range weapons if necessary.
The raging war between the United States and Israel against Iran has largely stalled since the ceasefire took effect on April 8, which was later extended indefinitely by President Donald Trump.
However, in recent times, the United States and Iran have attacked each other and accused each other of violating the ceasefire.
Pakistani-mediated peace efforts continue, but have so far failed to produce concrete results to definitively end the conflict.
The latest exchange of attacks took place on Friday (6/6) and Saturday (6/6) early in the morning, with the United States announcing that its troops had attacked Iranian radar installations on the island of Qeshm, after shooting down four of Tehran’s combat drones flying in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on U.S. military bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
