FAJAR.CO.ID – The death penalty request case against Ship’s Crew Member (ABK) Fandi Ramadhan in the case of smuggling narcotics weighing 1.9 tons on the Sea Dragon ship finally resulted in an open apology from the prosecutor who handled the case.

Prosecutor Muhammad Arfian admitted errors in the prosecution process and apologized directly to Commission III DPR RI.

During a joint hearing with the DPR, Arfian explained that he underwent an examination by an internal supervisor within the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia. This review was carried out by the Deputy Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas) and it was declared that Arfian had committed a violation in the handling of the case.

“I apologize to the leaders and members of Commission III of the DPR RI as well as the public for the mistakes made in this matter,” he said.
