“I dream of being the traffic police headquarters. I am not proud of enforcing the law. We are not happy to give tickets. But we are proud when you are all pioneers of safety, obedient to themselves, obedient to themselves in matters of traffic,” said Inspector General Agus, Wednesday (6/5/2026).
Also present at this activity were West Java Regional Police Traffic Director Commissioner Raydian Kokrosono and Bogor City Police Chief Commissioner Rio Wahyu Anggoro.

Inspector General Agus emphasized that the current face of the Traffic Police has changed according to the instructions of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, to sincerely serve the community. It positions the Ojol community not only as road users, but also as close friends and brothers of the national police institution.
In fact, Inspector General Agus made a moving statement that drew loud applause from the motorcycle taxi drivers.
“Remember, when you marry your child, please invite me. When I have time, I will make my visit a priority. Because of the message of the National Police Chief, that online motorcycle taxis are the friends of the police. Online traffic police are the friends of the police,” he said.
According to him, two-way communication and friendship are the main keys to solving various problems on the ground. “The current approach of the traffic police is an approach with the heart. Coming together, sitting together, discussing problems on the road, because colleagues are always on the road,” he said.
Even if he favors the humanist side, Inspector General Agus continues to transmit educational messages on road safety in this agenda. He appreciated the discipline of motorcycle taxi drivers, who until now were considered obedient in wearing helmets, but he reminded them that there should no longer be infractions such as moving against the flow of traffic.
“We can live on a straight road, but we cannot have an accident on a straight road. So obey, command traffic and prioritize safety. I leave it to my colleagues to become real safety heroes on the road,” said Irjen Agus.

Regarding supervision, Inspector General Agus said he would strengthen digital technology in the Bogor City region. “It’s no longer a ticket, but there is an ETLE. I will give the ETLE to the police chief so that the ETLE can monitor all road users,” he added.
Besides traffic matters, Inspector General Agus also assigns the task to motorcycle taxi drivers to help the National Police manage security and public order (Harkamtibmas). Given the great mobility of ojols, they are supposed to be the eyes and ears of police officers on the ground.
“You are on the road, you can communicate with the national police, you can provide information and you can even go to the first crime scene, whether it is an accident, including perhaps a criminal incident,” Inspector General Agus told the hundreds of motorcycle taxi drivers in attendance.
He closed the meeting with prayers and hopes that this synergy will continue to be maintained.

“The face of the national police has now changed. The face of the traffic police is different, socializing, embracing the community, being close to the community. We entrust it to you, I hope the ladies and gentlemen will accept us as friends of Ojol,” he concluded.
