FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA – The disbursement of the 13th salary of state civil servants (ASN) is currently being questioned.

The fate of the 13th salary is also a question in the context of the current budgetary efficiency achieved by the Government.

The reason for the fate of the 13th salary of civil servants, PPPK, TNI, Polri and retirees is still not clear because it is still under discussion.

Even though the 13th salary of this year was regulated by Government Regulation Number 9 of 2026.

Which discusses the granting of vacation pay and the thirteenth salary to state apparatus, retirees, pension recipients and benefit recipients from 2026.

“The thirteenth salary will be paid no later than June 2026”, as stated in Article 15 of PP Number 9 of 2026.

There is no confirmation from the government yet

Even though there are regulations on the matter, the government is currently still unresolved on the issue of the 13th salary.

Furthermore, the Government has still not provided a definitive response regarding the disbursement of the salaries of the 13 civil servants whose disbursement is scheduled for June 2026.

Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Purnaya Yudhi Sadewa is still discussing all possibilities that may arise before the disbursement.

According to him, the decision whether or not the 13th salary will be subject to efficiency is currently still under discussion.

“We are still studying (the effectiveness of the 13th salary),” Purbaya said at the Ministry of Finance, last Tuesday (4/7/2026). ‎ ‎According to Purbaya, his party was unable to provide a final decision and asked to wait for the results of further studies.

“We will wait,” he explained.
