A member of the Cibungbulang Police was injured during the arrest of two motorcycle thieves who were about to be attacked by a mob in Pamijahan, Bogor Regency. The victim, Bripka Hikmah Hidayatullah, suffered a head injury and fainted on the spot.
“Members of the Cibungbulang Police were injured while carrying out their duties, apprehending two suspected perpetrators of motor vehicle theft or car theft who were detained by residents,” said Head of Public Relations of the Bogor Police, Ipda Hamzah, Monday (20/7/2026).

Hamzah said victim Bripka Hikmah Hidayatullah was a member of the Cibungbulang Police, who served as Bhabinkamtibmas for Gunung Picung Village, Pamijahan Subdistrict. At the time of the incident, the victim together with the TNI and Satpol PP were about to evacuate two motorcycle thieves to a patrol car, Saturday (19/7) evening.
“As the two alleged perpetrators were about to be taken away from the scene, the crowd around the scene attempted to judge the alleged perpetrators. In this situation, Bripka Hikmah Hidayatuloh, who was in the security line, was allegedly hit by a blunt object on the left side of the back of the head,” said Hamzah.
“As a result of this incident, the person concerned was unconscious at the scene,” he added.

Hamzah said the victim was then taken to hospital to receive medical assistance. Meanwhile, the two perpetrators of the motorcycle theft were taken to the Cibungbulang Police for examination.

“Currently, Bripka Hikmah Hidayatuloh is conscious and still undergoing treatment while awaiting the results of a head CT scan. Meanwhile, the two suspected perpetrators were successfully arrested by the police officers,” Hamzah said.
