The pilgrimage was combined with poetry readings and a discussion titled “How important is Chairil Anwar to Indonesia”.
In his speech, Fadli said that his presence was a form of respect for the invitation of Chairil Anwar’s family, especially his only daughter, Evawani Alissa.
He pointed out that Chairil Anwar was an important figure in the history of Indonesian literature and was known as a pioneer of Class 45 alongside Asrul Sani and Rivai Apin.
Fadli also highlighted the great influence of Chairil’s works, which remain relevant today, even though they were written in a short period of time.
“Chairil Anwar, who died at the age of 27, produced dozens of poems that continue to be a source of inspiration across generations,” Fadli said in a written statement on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
He also revealed the government’s plan to install a statue of Chairil Anwar in Russia. Fadli said the move was a form of reciprocity after Russia donated a statue of Leo Tolstoy to the University of Indonesia.
“Later, the statue will be placed in one of the universities that study Indonesian, such as in St. Petersburg or Moscow,” Fadli concluded.
Meanwhile, Evawani Alissa expressed her gratitude and emotion as the public still remembers her father’s work even though he passed away 76 years ago.
After the flower distribution procession, a number of poets such as Imam Ma’arif and Jose Rizal Manua read poems by Chairil Anwar. Fadli also read a poem titled “The Have-Nots and the Broken.”
The activity then continued with a discussion with Maman Mahayana, academic from the University of Indonesia.
In her presentation, Maman assessed that the initiative of cultural activists members of the Taman Inspirasi Sastra Indonesia (TISI) literary community is important as a long-term investment, especially in instilling values that shape thought patterns and attitudes.
It is known that Chairil Anwar’s role in the development of national literature helped shape Indonesia’s cultural identity after independence through the class of 1945. The extent of this influence made the date of his death, April 28, National Poetry Day.
Until now, Chairil’s enthusiasm and courage in his work continue to inspire generations to take care of their language, animate their imagination and express themselves for their times.
This event was also attended by the special staff of the Minister of Cultural Diplomacy and International Relations, Annisa Rengganis, as well as writers such as Nanang R Supriyatin, Kurnia Effendi and Dyah Kencono Puspito Dewi. (akn/ega)

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
