Bekasi Mayor Tri Adhianto Tjahyono posted a video online of flood alarms sounding in several places in the Bekasi region. However, the water level at the Bekasi floodgates has started to fall.
Flood alarms sounded at several locations at the flood gates of Bekasi City, Wednesday (28/1/2026). One of them was the alarm in Kali Lengkak, East Bekasi, Bekasi City, which reportedly sounded at 20.22 WIB.
Bekaso Mayor Tri Adhianto, through his official Instagram account @mastriadhianto, uploaded a video of the alarm being triggered. He said the water flow condition of the Bekasi River had improved.
“The water flow condition of the Bekasi River has improved this evening, although it is not raining in the Bekasi area, warning alarms have sounded at several points as an early anticipation system,” he said around 23:00 WIB.

However, he assured that his party would continue to control the release of water entering the Bekasi River Dam. He also indicated that the team continues to be vigilant to anticipate flooding.
“At the Bekasi River Dam, we ensure that the water flow is controlled. All teams on the ground are also on early warning so that potential floods can be anticipated as best as possible,” he said.

Meanwhile, BPBD Bekasi reported that the water level of the Bekasi River Dam is now starting to fall. The power would also begin to weaken.
“Based on the latest monitoring results from the BPBD of Bekasi City, the water level trend (TMA) at the P2C monitoring station was observed to be decreasing and the water flow is starting to weaken. In general, the condition of Bekasi city is declared safe and under control,” wrote @bpbd.kotabekasi.
Mayor of Bekasi with Plt. The General Director of Bekasi City BPBD and the Head of Highways and Water Resources Department are also said to have directly monitored the Bekasi Prisdo Dam to ensure that conditions remain under control and management is optimal. “Even though the current situation is relatively stable, the public is still advised to strengthen their preparedness, especially residents in vulnerable areas along the Bekasi River. Continue to monitor official information and follow the instructions of officers,” added BPBD Bekasi.
