The wall collapsed and fell towards SMPN 182 Kalibata, Pancoran, South Jakarta. Police confirmed there were no deaths or injuries in the incident.
“There are no victims,” said Pancoran Police Chief Kompol Mansur when contacted on Monday (16/2/2026).
Mansur said the wall collapsed around 11:30 WIB on Sunday (15/2). He said his party would investigate the causes of the wall’s collapse.
“We are investigating what is the cause of this, how come it could collapse from one end to the other, if we didn’t know from the beginning that there were signs, if we knew, why wasn’t it supported or repaired, etc. That’s where we will go,” he added.

He said an investigation was underway to ensure this incident does not happen again. He promised to provide the public with an update regarding the investigation into this incident.
“This means that a public establishment is the victim, so that this doesn’t happen again, because that’s where their house is next to a school. So they need to be more careful, oh the factor is there anyway, so that this doesn’t happen again,” Mansur said.
